The New York Yankees and Diablos Rojos del México are set for a two-game exhibition series starting Sunday. Which players will be representing the Yankees in this trip to Mexico City?

Because the Yankees also have split-squad Grapefruit League games on Sunday and Monday to wrap up Spring Training, the Bronx Bombers are sending a representative lineup for the international exhibition game.

The Yankees will feature a pair of players with ties to Mexico. Catcher Jose Trevino is an American-born player of Mexican descent while right-handed pitcher Victor Gonzalez was born in Tuxpan, Mexico. Outfielder Alex Verdugo, who also is of Mexican descent, will not travel due to family reasons.

Both the Yankees and Diablos are championship-caliber teams in their respective leagues. The Diablos have a league-high 16 championships in the Serie del Rey and have made the championship game 17 times.
