New York Yankees DH Giancarlo Stanton isn't exactly known for his speed, and that was on full display Tuesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays.
After Stanton reached base via error to being the top of the second inning, he reached second base with two outs. Catcher Jose Trevino hit a hard line drive to left field, taking one hop before reaching outfielder Davis Schneider.
Yankees third base coach Luis Rojas must have been feeling frisky because he sent Stanton home despite it appearing he had a trailer hitched to his back.

It was painful watching Stanton round third base at a snail's pace but with Schneider's throw just up the line enough, Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen had trouble fielding the throw. This allowed Stanton to slowly but surely slip past for a run.
Even though he scored, MLB fans were beside themselves watching Stanton chug around the bases.
i actually laughed out loud at this and i'm sitting alone in a bar https://t.co/r79VNhDTZb

I will never understand how someone with a physique like Giancarlo Stanton can run like you picked some random guy from out of the stands to run the bases https://t.co/8ndHlj4zvU

The Yankees got the last laugh, though, as Stanton crossed home plate for the first run of the game.
