The Tigers on Wednesday made another move to bolster their bullpen, acquiring left-handed reliever Justin Wilson from the Yankees. The teams announced the move at the winter meetings in Nashville, Tenn.

Detroit sent a pair of minor league right-handed pitchers, Luis Cessa and Chad Green, to New York.

Wilson, 28, went 5-0 with a 3.10 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP for New York last season. His best season came in 2013 when he went 6-1 with a 2.08 ERA for the Pirates.

Detroit had previously added closer Francisco Rodriguez and setup man Mark Lowe this offseason. The addition of Wilson gives them a quality left-hander out of the 'pen, something the Tigers badly needed.

Cessa, 23, finished last season with Triple-A Toledo. He came over to the Tigers as part of the trade that sent Yoenis Cespedes to the Mets. Overall, he posted an 8-10 record, a 4.42 ERA and 119 strikeouts in 139 1/3 innings.

Green, 24, went 5-14 with a 3.93 ERA last season with Double-A Erie.
