The Phillies have been in need of outfield help since Andrew McCutchen went down and they just got it.
Philadelphia has acquired Corey Dickerson from the Pirates, the Phillies announced Wednesday.

The Pirates will receive a player to be named later and international bonus money.
#Phillies are giving up relatively little to acquire OF Corey Dickerson, who is making $8.5 million this season and will become a free agent after the season: a PTBNL and international bonus money.

McCutchen tore his ACL earlier this season, and the Phillies have been forced to scramble in the outfield as Adam Haseley and Nick Williams have played a good amount of time.
Both have potential, but Dickerson gives Philadelphia a more experienced, true left fielder and offers outfield depth.
He is batting .317 with four home runs and 25 RBIs in 126 at-bats this season.
Those numbers aren't fantastic, but he has been hurt for a good portion of the season so they could easily improve given time. He becomes part of a wholesale makeover by the Phillies (56-50) in recent months as they chase a playoff spot.
So the #Phillies ' July additions are:

Corey Dickerson
Drew Smyly
Jason Vargas
Blake Parker
Jose Pirela
Mike Morin
Also, Jay Bruce & Brad Miller in June. All for minimal prospect cost.
There's no real impact there, but it's a significant depth upgrade if nothing else. https://t.co/QENQV6j5yp
Entering Wednesday's play, Philadelphia is tied with Chicago for the second NL wild card, a half-game back of the Nationals and a game up on the Brewers.
The trade deadline is at 4 p.m. ET Wednesday.
