In exchange, the Mariners will receive Cuban left-hander Ariel Miranda, the Orioles announced.

The 29-year-old Miley, an All-Star in 2012 as a rookie with the Diamondbacks, has seen his ERA go up every year since, with a one-year stop in Boston last year before joining Seattle for 2016. He's 7-8 with a 4.98 ERA and 1.348 WHIP this season. But he's a reliable innings eater who has pitched at least six innings in 13 of his 19 starts.
Miley really showcased his talents Saturday against the Cubs. He struck out nine and gave up only one hit and one earned run in seven innings to earn the win.
Miley is also more than a short-term rental for the O's. He is signed for almost $8.9 million for 2017, with a $12 million team option for 2018.
Miranda, 27, has spent most of this season with the O's Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk, where he has a 3.93 ERA in 19 starts. In one appearance with the Orioles, he gave up three earned runs in two innings.
