In the midst of a lost season, the Chicago White Sox could be looking to offload some of their premier talent at the MLB Trade Deadline. That includes young centerfielder Luis Robert.

Leading the AL West by 6.5 games entering Saturday, the Seattle Mariners could find themselves in a position to by at the deadline.

Even with young phenom Julio Rodriguez manning center field, the Mariners are an apparent landing spot in a deadline trade for Robert.

At least, that's what New York Post's Jon Heyman predicts as his "best guess" for trade deadline deals.

Heyman also mentioned the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kansas City Royals, Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants as potential landing spots.

Robert may be going through a down year and coming off a hip flexor injury, but his contract includes team control through the 2027 season.

That's pretty enticing for a 26-year-old with a career .826 OPS and 124 wRC+. Even if it means sorting out where he would play (likely right field) with Rodriguez cemented in center.

It wouldn't be cheap for the Mariners to make this move but it's one that would help them both now and in the future with the chance to truly take a stranglehold on the division.
