The dog days of the 2024 season are officially upon us. The trade deadline has come and gone, and it's time to focus on the pennant race.

At the end of the regular season, there will be only 12 teams remaining, and they'll all clash in the postseason. On Thursday, the MLB postseason schedule was revealed.

"The 2024 MLB postseason will feature a month of games broadcast across six channels and, for the first time, includes a wrinkle for the start of the World Series," Jason Foster of MLB.com wrote.

The playoffs will start with the best-of-three Wild Card Series. The top two seeds in each league receive a bye to the Division Series, while the lowest seeded division winner takes on the last Wild Card team and the top two Wild Card squads face each other.

The higher seed hosts all three games, and the matchups will last from Tuesday, October 1 to Thursday, October 3, if necessary. All Wild Card matchups will be aired on ESPN, ESPN 2, and ABC.

After a day off, all four best-of-five Division Series matchups will begin on Saturday, October 5. However, the National League Division Series matchups will continue with Game 2 the following day, while the American League Division Series will have a day off and resume on Monday, October 7.

Game 5 of the NLDS, if necessary, will take place on Friday, October 11. Game 5 of the ALDS will take place on Saturday, October 12. The NLDS will air on FOX or FS1 while the ALDS will air on TBS.

The NLCS will start on Sunday, October 13 and will air on FOX and FS1. Game 7, if necessary, is set for October 21. The ALCS will air on TBS and start on Monday, October 14, with Game 7 set for October 22.

If all goes according to plan, the World Series kicks off on Friday, October 25 on FOX. Game 7, if necessary, will be on Saturday, November 2. But here's where things get interesting.

Should both LCS matchups conclude by Saturday, October 19, the World Series starts on October 22, with Game 7 set for October 30.
