Minnesota Twins -105 (vs Chicago White Sox)
Mike Pelfrey vs Jeff Samardzija

The Twins have shown some class previously this season and certainly proved they are no pushovers as many had predicted. Of course, the quality is not equivalent to some of the top teams, but it's good enough to put on a fight against any of them. And the White Sox are not exactly a good team. Even with some quality players, the Sox have struggled rather strangely especially on the road.  At home, the team seems to hit the spot, but away from home they are shaky and vulnerable in all areas.

The Twins have an 8-3 record vs. the White Sox this season. After 10,000 simulations, AccuScore gives the Twins a 56.9 percent chance of winning, which would make the odds to -132.  Oddsmakers are probably expecting a bounce back from the Sox, but it doesn’t seem likely with Twins performing on a higher level in both pitching and hitting. There's good value for a bigger favorite than the odds would indicate.

Supporting trends: The Twins are 24-14 at home, 8-3 vs the White Sox and 8-4 when Pelfrey starts...The White Sox are 12-24 on the road and 18-33 vs. an opponent with a winning record

AccuScore’s season-to-date record on LM: 49-52 (-3.37 units)
