The Tigers have reportedly begun serious discussions with free-agent starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann, according to Fox Sports.

The Tigers' rotation went from one of the best ino baseball to a liability last season and Zimmermann would help get them back in the right direction.

During his seven-year career, all of which has been spent with the Nationals, Zimmermann is 70-50 with a splendid 3.32 ERA. He could also become the first pitcher to sign a $100 million deal after having Tommy John surgery.
