Despite being in the middle of an intense playoff push, the New York Yankees know one of their biggest objectives will come during the offseason.

The sweepstakes for superstar outfielder Juan Soto will be the talk of the offseason as soon as the final out in the World Series is made.

The Yankees, along with several other teams, are expected to be in the middle of a bidding war for Soto's services.

In a poll of 13 experts predicting the contract for the 25-year-old phenom, Jon Heyman of The New York Post predicts the Yankees would have to pay Soto a contract worth $520.1 million.

Here are the predictions on the worth of Soto's contract from Heyman's poll:

  • $540-$550 million
  • 14 years, $550 million
  • 10 years, 550 million
  • 12 years, $600 million
  • 10 years, $500 million
  • 12 years, $480 million
  • 13 years, $520 million
  • $450-$500 million
  • $500-$550 million
  • $550-million plus
  • $500 million

Soto is in the middle of a career season with the Yankees and he's just about to enter his prime. Soto is slashing .300/.432/.601 with 34 home runs, 87 RBI, 103 runs scored and 104 walks.

Considering the current contracts of Aaron Judge and Gerrit Cole, the Yankees are likely to be in the 110% luxury tax threshold again.

Regardless, it's very likely that would be worth it to secure Soto in The Bronx for the rest of his career.
