Today's MLB DFS Picks: Top values for DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy baseball contests image

We have an excellent 15-game daily fantasy baseball slate on Tuesday that features two elite pitching options in Trevor Bauer and Justin Verlander, both of whom are in excellent spots, as well as a number of great offensive bats that we can look to stack up. It’s a little strange to see Bauer priced up as the highest priced player on a full 15-game slate, but the guy has been lights out in 2018 and a complete stud when pitching at home. Verlander is also in an elite spot tonight in a matchup with the A’s at home in Houston, where he has been excellent, posting a plus-minus of plus-2.7 in nine home starts this season.

For the bats, the Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals, Twins and both teams in the Coors Field matchup between the Rockies and Diamondbacks have implied team totals currently sitting at five runs or higher. There are also a number of teams with lower implied totals in great spots, as well, with the Rangers, Phillies, Braves, Angels, and Dodgers all catching my eye as targets for large-field tournaments.

You’re likely going to want to jam in either Bauer or Verlander in cash games, which makes spending up for some of these high-priced offenses a tough task, but thankfully there are a multitude of value batters than we can look at to help us get those stud arms in there.

MLB DFS Picks: FanDuel, DraftKings values for Tuesday, July 10

Rich Hill, LHP, Dodgers @ Padres (DK: $8,600, FD: $8,000)

Hill seems to finally be over the blister issues that plagued him earlier in the season and is an ideal SP2 candidate on DraftKings, as well as an SP1 pivot on FanDuel. Hill has been solid since coming off the DL and has a great matchup with the Padres, who remain one of the worst teams in the league against lefthanded pitching. Hill has absolutely dominated the Padres over his past four starts against them, posting a plus-minus of plus-8.2 fantasy points. He also currently has the third-highest RotoQL projection among pitchers, only trailing Bauer and Verlander.

Ketel Marte, 2B/SS, Diamondbacks @ Rockies (DK: $4,200, FD: $3,500)

The Diamondbacks head to Coors Field tonight for a matchup with the Rockies and lefty Tyler Anderson. While Anderson has been good in spots this season, he is still an inconsistent performer and we should look to target some of these D-backs batters. Marte has been bashing lefthanded pitching this season, posting a plus-minus of plus-1.9 against lefthanded starters this season, as well as an excellent .563 wOBA versus southpaws over his last 50 at-bats. His price tag of $4,200 on DraftKings and $3,500 on FanDuel makes him pretty easy to fit into a cash lineup with Bauer or Verlander, as well.

Kike Hernandez, OF/SS, Dodgers @ Padres (DK: $3,700, FD: $2,900)

The Dodgers offense has been on fire over the past month and is a great lineup to target tonight in a matchup with Padres lefty Eric Lauer. The righthanded bats are the preferred targets here given Lauer’s struggles with righties, and Hernandez is an exceptional value at his price point across the industry. He has been money against lefties lately, posting a plus-minus of plus-1.5 against southpaw starters since 2017 and a .395 wOBA over his last 50 at-bats. He also gets the added bump of being moved up to the two-hole in matchups against lefthanded starters, which only adds to his appeal in cash games.

Kolten Wong, 2B, Cardinals @ White Sox (DK: $3,000, FD: $2,700)

The Cardinals have one of the best possible matchups on the board tonight against White Sox righty Dylan Covey, who has been getting lit up by batters from both sides of the plate. Pretty much everyone in the Cardinals lineup is in play here, but in terms of value, it’s hard to beat Wong. Wong has been excellent against righthanded pitching recently, posting a .421 wOBA against them over his past 50 at-bats. Wong enters this game riding a three-game multi-hit streak.
