A Dodgers prospect who shares a name with the reported Dallas police shooter took to Twitter on Friday to let followers know he is alive.
Micah Drew Johnson, 25, an infielder with Triple-A Oklahoma City, wanted to reassure fans that he was not 25-year-old Micah Xavier Johnson of Mesquite, Texas, who on Friday was identified as a gunman in the shootings.

According to his player page, Dodgers prospect Johnson was 2-for-5 on Thursday while playing in Oklahoma City against Omaha in a Pacific Coast League game.
Thursday's shootings at a protest in Dallas left five police officers dead. Seven officers and two civilians were wounded. The shooter was killed by an explosive device delivered by a police robot.
Dallas police on Friday had three suspects in custody, according to National Public Radio. Investigators were trying to determine whether others were involved.
The dead sniper was identified as a military veteran who served a tour of duty in Afghanistan. It was believed he had become enraged after a spate of police shootings that resulted in the death of black suspects.
In Oklahoma City, baseball player Micah Johnson made himself known.

Someone had erroneously updated Johnson's Wikipedia page to say he was the gunman. The page was soon corrected.

Dallas Police Chief David Brown said at a Friday news conference that a suspect in the shootings was killed in a parking garage by a robot with an explosive device. The suspect had told police he decided to "kill white people, especially white officers" following the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile in police shootings earlier this week.
