The Mets put a hurtin' on the Giants in the third inning Friday.

San Francisco pitchers Jake Peavy and Mike Broadway were both shellacked as the Amazins scored a franchise-record 12 runs, punctuated by Yoenis Cespedes' grand slam.

Peavy and Broadway suffered equally, with both giving up six earned runs. Speaking of six, that's how many RBIs Cespedes had in the inning (also a franchise record).

It's only April, but the Giants' even-year magic might need another shot of mojo.
