Return of the Mack?
Mattress Mack, otherwise known as Jim McIngvale, is one of sport's most notorious gamblers. The Houston-based magnate, who owns the Gallery Furniture franchise that pockmarks strip malls in Texas and beyond, has developed a reputation as a high roller, willing to pour millions into the betting market in the hopes of winning big when his favorite teams compete.
McIngvale has wagered unfathomable amounts on some of sport's highest-profile events, including the Super Bowl, College Football Playoff, and the World Series. He's a fixture in the world of Texas sports and could very well be present at Astros games during the 2024 MLB postseason.
Recently, McIngvale revealed that he was dealing with some persistent health issues pertaining to "cognitive things." After missing an exit while driving to work, the mattress man admitted himself nearby St. Luke's Hospital to undergo some tests and get a better grasp of what's going on in his noggin.
Here's the latest on McIngvale's health.

An ambulance was called for him on Saturday after he expressed confusion over what day it was.
Despite his hospitalization, McIngvale remained in high spirits. Throughout his stay, he promoted his beloved Gallery Furniture from the gurney. He plans on returning to his usual office sooner rather than later.
