Former Astros manager Bo Porter has joined the mix to become the next manager of the Miami Marlins, CBS Sports reported Thursday.

Manny Acta is the only other known candidate to be interviewed.

Porter managed the Astros for two seasons before being fired and joining the Braves as their third base coach in October 2014 — a title he held in with the Marlins from 2007-09. He posted a 110-190 record during his tenure with the Astros.

Dan Jennings moved from his GM role with the Marlins to serve as manager after the team fired Mike Redmond in May. It’s unknown whether Jennings will return to a front-office role when a manager is hired.
