Marlins reportedly interview Manny Acta for manager's job image

Just a few weeks after rumors began swirling that Marlins manager Dan Jennings may be out of Miami entirely, the team has interviewed Manny Acta, ESPN Deportes reported.

Jennings remains on the job, though numerous outlets have reported he is unlikely to return as manager in 2016.

Acta, 46, managed the Nationals from 2007-09 and the Indians from 2010-12, accruing a 372-518 (.418) record and getting fired from both jobs during the season.

The Marlins made a surprise move back in May when they fired manager Mike Redmond and moved Jennings from the front office to manager. The experiment failed, with Miami sitting third in the NL East with a 64-86 record entering Tuesday's games.
