Madison Bumgarner is not impressed with Yasiel Puig's home run image

Yasiel Puig homered off of Madison Bumgarner on Sunday but the Giants' ace was not impressed.

“He’s a quick study,'' Bumgarner said, via USA Today. "It only took him seven years to learn how to hit that pitch.”

Puig's home run came on an inside fastball against Bumgarner and it got out of the ballpark quick, but it's hard to blame Bumgarner for trying to get him out there.

Bumgarner lives off of working inside with either his fastball or cutter and Puig had struggled against him during his career on that pitch.

Coming into Sunday's game, Puig was hitting .217 with just two home runs in 46 at-bats against the lefty.

Puig got him on Sunday, but Bumgarner wasn't going to let him have the last laugh.

Add that to the fact that the Giants won the game 6-5 and Bumgarner probably isn't too worried about a home run and bat flip from Puig.
