Little League World Series 2015 scores: Japan defeats Pennsylvania in wild title game image

There was only one way to describe the Little League World Series championship game: offensive explosion.

Japan defeated Pennsylvania, 18-11, as the two teams combined for 30 hits and seven home runs. It was the highest-scoring title matchup in LLWS history.

In the top of the first inning, Japan jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but Pennsylvania responded with 10 — yes, 10 — runs in the bottom half, including six hits and two home runs, one of which was a grand slam.

Japan answered with seven runs in the top of the second. If this game wasn't crazy enough for you, let's throw in back-to-back-to-back home runs.

After Pennsylvania failed to score in the bottom of the second, Japan came right back with a solo and three-run shot to take a 13-10 lead.

Pennsylvania unraveled on the field in the top of the sixth, as Japan added multiple unearned runs to help secure its fifth championship in the last seven years.
