The Little League World Series begins on Wednesday, Aug. 14, with a quartet of games kickstarting a wild 12-day stretch of baseball in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The 77th iteration of the annual tournament features 10 teams from across the U.S., and 10 more from across the globe. A beacon of competition and sportsmanship, the Little League World Series showcases everything that we love about sports.

Last year, the team from El Segundo, California, won the title, defeating the boys from Willemstad, Curacao, in the championship game.

The United States has now won 39 titles, including each of the last five tournaments. Taiwan (17) and Japan (11) round out the top-three all-time title leaders.

The Sporting News has you covered with everything that you need to know to watch this year's Little League World Series, including a complete tournament schedule.
