World Series odds

Blue Jays 7/4
Cubs 9/4
Royals 3/1
Mets 4/1

Predictions

After correctly predicting both wild-card games and three out of four division series – the Dodgers' loss to the Mets spoiled the perfect record – AccuScore has forecast the league championship series and World Series.

ALCS odds:  Blue Jays -130/Royals +110

Even though Toronto didn’t show its full offensive power in its ALDS, they should have enough to get past the Royals.  The big question mark for the Blue Jays is their bullpen, but their starting pitching will carry them.

Prediction: Blue Jays in 6

The Linemakers' betting preview: Who does Vegas crew like in ALCS?

NLCS odds: Cubs -165, Mets +145

The AccuScore computer thinks differently than the oddsmakers. The Mets are clear favorites to proceed to World Series, according to 10,000 simulations of the NLCS.  The Cubs' young batters versus the Mets' young pitchers is the most interesting matchup of the series, but AccuScore has the latter winning out.

Prediction: Mets in 6

World Series: Blue Jays vs. Mets

While the Mets have a bright future, Toronto is built to win a championship now.  Jacob deGrom and Matt Harvey may pick up wins, but the Blue Jays have too much to overcome.

Prediction: Blue Jays in 6
