Bryce Harper and Kris Bryant, two of baseball’s biggest stars, appeared together in a public service announcement Friday aimed at aiding the victims of Sunday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas, the deadliest in modern U.S. history.
Harper and Bryant are both from the Las Vegas area. The PSA was shown on the video board at Nationals Park prior to the opening game of the NLDS between Harpers’ Nationals and Bryant’s Cubs.

"The biggest thing is, Vegas is very small," Harper said to ESPN. "If you were born and raised there, you know everybody. You know who this person is on this side of town or that side of town. Relatives, friends, whatever. So when something happens like this, it's going to hit home."
Bryant said that the NLDS provided a platform for he and Harper to help Las Vegas recover.

“People are going to be struggling for a long time — just as they are after the hurricanes,” Bryant said to ESPN. “You see this country coming together. Whatever we can to get people to support, we're ready to do."
According to ESPN’s report, it was Harper’s idea for the pair to shoot the video together.
"I was wondering what we can do from afar," Harper said to ESPN. "It's tough. You want to go down there and help out... We just want to get the word out and have people provide even a dollar to whatever organization you want. It all counts."
