Justin Upton throws helmet in dugout, smashes teammate's head image

Padres outfielder Justin Upton should stick to throwing baseballs.

Upset after getting picked off at second base by Rockies reliever John Axford in the eighth inning, Upton attempted to throw his helmet in frustration in the Padres dugout, but his headgear slipped out of his hand and smacked teammate Yonder Alonso in the head.

Alonso, who was standing on the dugout fence with his back to Upton, threw a fit of his own, spewing trash in the Padres dugout before heading to the locker room. He was replaced in the game by Austin Hedges.
