A dashboard video camera captured the moments that led to Pirates infielder Jung Ho Kang's arrest on charges of fleeing the scene of an accident under the influence of alcohol. Korean television network YTN aired the video from Kang's dash cam and showed still photos of significant damage to the front end.

A black BMW driven by Kang failed to negotiate a turn and ran through a guard rail on a traffic island at 2:48 a.m. Friday, according to police in Seoul, South Korea. The Korea Times reports a passenger in Kang's car initially told authorities that he or she was driving, but police determined via the car's "black box" that the 29-year-old slugger had been behind the wheel.

Police said Kang's blood alcohol content was 0.084, above the legal limit of 0.05 percent.

According to Yonhap News, Kang apologized to fans for an "irrevocable mistake," saying he would accept whatever punishment is handed down.
