New York Yankees star right fielder Juan Soto has returned to the starting lineup for the series opener against the Kansas City Royals on Monday.
After getting three days off during the weekend series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the 25-year-old star is back in the lineup for the Yankees.
He will get the half-day off as the designated hitter hitting in his normal second spot.. Meanwhile, fellow star Aaron Judge will get his first game fully off of the season. For Judge, this is a typical day off.

Soto went through his normal pregame routine ahead of Sunday night's win against the Dodgers, but manager Aaron Boone reiterated that they wanted to wait a bit longer before putting the right fielder back in the lineup.
Soto has been everything the Yankees could have asked for when they traded for him. Entering Monday, he has a .318 batting average with 17 home runs, 53 RBI and a 1.027 OPS. His 4.1 fWAR ranks fourth in MLB.
