Jordan Spieth is in Boston for this week's Deutsche Bank Championship, so he stopped by Fenway Park on Tuesday night to throw out the first pitch before the Red Sox's game against the Yankees.

The No. 2 golfer in the world is set to embark on his own competitive rivalry this week when he tees off alongside red-hot Jason Day for the first two rounds of the second leg of the PGA Tour's playoffs.

On Tuesday, he was all smiles as he took in the atmosphere surrounding the historic ballpark.

“I was very excited,” Spieth told NESN.com. “This was so much fun. (Fenway is) the greatest ballpark in the world, and to be able to step on the mound and throw a pitch on it is a dream come true. It’s a dream for my dad come true, too. He wanted me to be a pitcher when I was young, he played college baseball, so it’s cool to have him here."
