In the latest sign that Red Sox fans struck some sort of Faustian bargain back in 2004, look who introduced Donald Trump at a rally in Orlando on Wednesday.

MORE: Sports figures who support Donald Trump
Damon, for whatever it's worth, seemed to go all in for the dude. First, the longtime MLB center fielder and author of an autobiography entitled "Idiot" introduced his chosen candidate to his hometown.
“I love the energy. Let’s bring it for Donald Trump, we love it!" Damon said. "A lot of you guys probably did not know that I am from Orlando. I’ve been here for 37 years, and my dad was a military veteran. He spent 20 years and 20 days in the army, and this was where he wanted to go because there was a military base that could take care of his family.
"It was right up the street, down Colonial Drive, the old navy base. We took care of our veterans before, and we have to do it again."
Then he said this about Trump:
Johnny Damon is speaking here before Trump; says he "loves" Trump because "he likes to win, likes everything to be great."

Then Trump said this about George Steinbrenner:

And then Damon chanted "Build That Wall." It's irony that Damon wants people thrown out of the country, right? Seems like irony.
Damon joins racist meme-peddler/former Sox ace Curt Schilling in Trump's corner. Hope this was all worth it.
