John Rocker is a retired baseball pitcher who once said, "The biggest thing I don't like about New York are the foreigners." So it should come as no surprise that he is “absolutely” endorsing Donald Trump's campaign for president.
“I think he has really woken America up," Rocker told The Daily Caller.
Trump and Rocker are known for making controversial statements, specifically when it comes to minorities. When Trump initially announced his candidacy for president, he said of Mexican immigrants, "They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists."

Comments like those are the reason Rocker likes Trump. He feels like America needs someone who has "the sack" to make bold statements.
"I’ve always wanted to see the person that’s like, ‘Yeah, I’ve made these comments, these are my beliefs, and you know what, if you don’t like it stick it. I’m not apologizing, I’m not changing,'" Rocker said.
Rocker was suspended and fined in 2000 by commissioner Bud Selig following controversial comments he made in a Sports Illustrated interview.
"Mr. Rocker should understand that his remarks offended practically every element of society and brought dishonor to himself, the Atlanta Braves and Major League Baseball," Selig said in a statement at the time.
