Jimmy Rollins receives standing ovation in return to Philadelphia image

Philadelphia sports fans have a reputation of not being kind to visiting teams and players. Eagles fans were named, again, as the worst fans in the NFL. Phillies fans don't rate much better.

But when former Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins returned to the City of Brotherly Love on Tuesday with his new team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Phillies fans gave the three-time All-Star a standing ovation.

Rollins, 36, accepted a trade to the Dodgers last December, ending his 15-year tenure with the Phillies. Tuesday's game at Citizens Bank Park was the first for Rollins since being traded. He is the Phillies' franchise leader in hits and doubles and second in games played and stolen bases.

He struck out in his first at-bat Tuesday before hitting a ground-rule double in the third.
