Only a day after a serious staredown with Madison Bumgarner, umpire Joe West was back at it with Jimmy Rollins.

Rollins hit a triple in the top of the first inning Friday against the Rockies, and the Dodgers shortstop proceeded to have some fun with West at third base.

During Thursday night's game between the Giants and Padres, West and Bumgarner locked eyes for more than 17 seconds. There was no smile from Bumgarner to ease the tension.

This West situation reminds me of a classic staring contest . . .
