Rangers reliever Jeremy Jeffress is setting baseball aside to deal with more important matters.

According to Yahoo Sports, the setup man is expected to spend a month in an inpatient rehabilitation clinic in Houston following Friday's arrest on DWI charges.

Jeffress won't be suspended by Major League Baseball but his status for a playoff run with the American League West-leading Rangers remains unclear, the report says.

"I promise to do whatever it takes to get back on the field playing the game I love," Jeffress said in a statement. "And I will begin this process by being away from the team while I get the help I need to overcome these difficult personal issues."

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Jeffress urinated on himself twice following a night out in Dallas on Friday and failed to maintain his balance during a field sobriety test. His blood-alcohol content was 0.115, over the legal limit.

Jeffress, a 28-year-old right-hander, came to the Rangers from the Brewers at the Aug. 1 trade deadline and since arriving in Texas has allowed four runs in nine one-inning appearances. He has 56 appearances overall in 2016 with a 2-2 record and 2.52 ERA.

Jeffress has been suspended twice under MLB's drug program, both times for testing positive for marijuana while in the minors: 50 games in 2008 and 100 games in 2009. While marijuana was found in his car during the arrest last week, Jeffress was not charged with possession.
