UPDATE, 11:05 p.m. Aug. 24: The Marlins announced the trade Wednesday night. Miami will send minor league minor league catcher/first baseman Matt Foley to the Braves as part of the deal. Foley, 22, was playing for the Marlins' affilate in the rookie-level Gulf Coast League. Miami drafted him in the 40th round in 2015 out of Rhode Island College.

The Braves are sending outfielder Jeff Francoeur to the Marlins as part of a three-team trade that also involves the Rangers, according to multiple reports.

The Rangers will acquire international signing bonus money from the other two teams. They will send minor league shortstop Dylan Moore to the Braves.

Francoeur, 32, became eligible to be traded when he passed through revocable waivers earlier this month.

He is hitting just .249/.290/.381 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs in 276 plate appearances this season. In Miami, the 12-year journeyman will help man right right field with Giancarlo Stanton (groin) on the disabled list. The righthanded-hitting Francoeur will likely platoon with lefthanded-swinging Ichiro Suzuki.

The 24-year-old Moore, who can also play second base, is slashing .263/.377/.440 with 14 home runs, 59 RBIs and 40 stolen bases in Single-A this year. He was a seventh-round pick by the Rangers in the 2014 draft out of UCF.
