Reds pitcher Trevor Bauer on Wednesday released edited footage from the "Sandlot"-style wiffle ball game he arranged with other MLB players Saturday in Arizona. The 21-minute video was full of highlights of pitchers raking and mic'd-up players offering entertaining commentary. As part of the event, Bauer set up a GoFundMe page for Reds gameday staff who are out of work because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Here's a rundown of the best moments from the game.
Drafting teams
The teams were managed by Padres outfielder Tommy Pham and 2003 National League Cy Young winner Eric Gagne. Players were picked schoolyard-style — with Gagne picking Bauer first overall Pham taking Derek Dietrich and Art "Benny the Jet" Warren with his top two picks. Here's the full list of selections:
Team Gagne
Trevor Bauer (Reds RHP)
Daniel Johnson (Indians OF)
Keynan Middleton (Angels RHP)
Logan Allen (Indians LHP)
Zach Plesac (Indians RHP)
Mike Clevinger (Indians RHP)
Team Pham
Derek Dietrich (Reds UT)
Art Warren (Mariners RHP)

Art Warren does his best 'Benny the Jet' impression, runs away with MVP
Pham, after taking Reds utilityman Derek Dietrich with his top pick, joked he wasn't too sure about taking Seattle pitcher Art Warren second after seeing his swings in warmups. But Dietrich convinced him otherwise and Pham had to be happy he did. Warren racked up four hits at the plate and was also an effective pitcher, grabbing the last three outs to get the save in Team Pham's 6-3 win.

Warren's stellar performance earned him MVP honors. His trophy was a bottle of hand sanitizer, which is worth a lot during the coronavirus pandemic.

Derek Dietrich pays homage to Kent Murphy, hits a dinger
In tandem with Warren, Dietrich also came up clutch for Team Pham with a bomb to dead center field after calling his shot in honor of YouTuber Kent Murphy. The homer was controversial, as players were supposed to hit everything to the pull side and the ball appeared to land left of center. But c'mon: how are you going to take that away from him?

Mike Clevinger swings big, misses bigger
Clevinger, the "Mr Irrelevant" of the "Sandlot" draft, nearly made Pham regret not picking him by hitting a couple of long foul balls in his first at-bat. But then the Indians pitcher ended up being the first strikeout victim of the game, whiffing on his third hack.
