The Cleveland Guardians have been a surprise contender this season after a 76-86 finish in 2023.

They underwent some major changes, with Stephen Vogt taking over for Terry Francona as the new manager of the team. Despite the changes, they have the third-best record in the American League and currently lead the AL Central.

They are a team that could add some pieces in the offseason. Should they go that route, they could potentially look at adding a power hitter.

Mark Feinsand of MLB.com believes they would be a perfect fit for Anthony Santander.

"Santander has been a solid player for several years, but he picked the right time to have a career-best season," Feinsand wrote. "A first-time All-Star this year, Santander has already set a career high in home runs."

The 29-year-old slugger would be a valuable asset for the Guardians, as he is a switch hitter. In 472 at-bats, Santander has hit 37 home runs, driven in 82 runs, and posted an .827 OPS.

One issue might be his batting average, which sits at just .237. However, he is still getting on base and producing in other ways, so he could very well be a good fit for the Guardians, who could use some offense this winter.

Santander would be a perfect complementary piece to players such as Jose Ramirez, Steven Kwan, Josh Naylor, and Andres Gimenez. It will be interesting to see how his market develops.

His breakout season this year should certainly garner him some consideration in free agency from several teams in need of a power bat, especially one that can hit from both sides of the plate.
