Gregory Polanco throws out Cubs' Cahill at first ... from outfield image

If you were to hear that Pirates right fielder Gregory Polanco threw a guy out at first after a single, you'd probably be impressed. If you were to hear that guy was reliever Trevor Cahill, you'd probably be a little less impressed.

The lack-of-closeness of the whole play, though, should bring you back. Cahill was out by about 10 feet. (via @DJGalloEtc:)

It all makes sense; Cahill is slow and hit it sharply, Polanco was playing shallow, and the Pirates are good at that sort of thing.
