We know that Goose Gossage is a cranky old man upset about computers, bat flips and making baseball fun again, but the traditionalist has never explained all of what he believes to be the unwritten rules of baseball — until now.

For a July 6 promotion with the Independent League St. Paul Saints, the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive the first of its kind unwritten rule book, with plenty of room for fans to write down any additional rules the 64-year-old Hall of Fame pitcher sees fit.

Gossage went on an F-bomb laced tirade in a March interview when asked about the current state of baseball and will surely have plenty of opinions to share about staring at a home run too long or pumping your first after a strikeout.

Gossage, who will turn 65 a day before the promotion, will sign copies of the rule book and also throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Remember fans, be excited, but not too excited, we don't want to "show up" other promotions.
