The Astros' already loaded lineup got a major boost on Friday as outfielder George Springer was activated from the disabled list after missing two months with a fractured wrist.

Springer is hitting .264 with 13 home runs and 29 RBIs in 276 at-bats this season. He figures to be the team's full-time right fielder with Carlos Gomez in center and Colby Rasmus or Jake Marisnick manning left.
Houston leads the Rangers by two games in the AL West.
