What are the chances?

Brandon Thomas, a minor-league player for the Gateway Grizzlies, hit a grand slam in the bottom of the second inning in a game Sunday night in Sauget, Ill., and when he got to his car, he realized the ball he hit out of the ballpark landed on his car in the parking lot.

Just getting the ball to the parking lot is a great feat, as beat writer Sam Levitt pointed out.

Thomas' grand slam helped the team in its 17-6 Frontier League win that featured five home runs, including a second grand slam.

He'll need to pay for the damages, but Thomas is in good spirits.
