ESPN announces early schedule for Sunday Night Baseball coverage image

ESPN is sticking with a trio of heavy hitters to dominate its early MLB television coverage in 2015.

The network has announced its Sunday Night Baseball coverage through the first Sunday in May, and it will feature plenty of traditional powers. On April 5, the Cardinals will visit the Cubs to kick off ESPN's Sunday Night coverage for the season. Joining the Cardinals in a group of three teams to be featured twice in the first five weeks of the season are the Yankees and the Red Sox, who will play each other on both occasions.

All games will begin at 8 p.m. ET, with ESPN offering coverage on five of its national platforms.
