Stealing home isn't supposed to be easy, but Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus sure made it look that way when he swiped it against the Padres on Tuesday night.
On the play, San Diego right-hander Kevin Quackenbush had his head down, preparing for his delivery. Andrus noticed Quackenbush was preoccupied and broke for home, making it nearly two-thirds of the way down the line before Quackenbush recognized what was happening and made an off-target throw to the plate. Andrus slid in effortlessly to give the Rangers an 8-4 lead in the seventh inning.

Andrus' steal came not long after his bases-loaded single broke a 4-4 tie in that inning.
The Rangers won the game 8-6. With the Astros losing to the Mariners, Texas moved to three games behind first-place Houston in the American League West.
