Blue Jays designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion blasted three home runs and had nine RBIs Saturday in a 15-1 win against the Tigers.

August has been kind to Encarnacion, who extended his hitting streak to an MLB-leading 24 games, which is also the fifth-longest in Blue Jays history. Encarnacion also joined Roy Howell as the only other Blue Jay to have nine RBIs in a game.

Encarnacion has seven home runs and 25 RBIs this month and has raised his average from .241 to .269 in the process.

The Tigers' rotation is in shambles right now with the loss of David Price via trade, and Anibal Sanchez and Daniel Norris because of injuries. Young Buck Farmer was on the mound for Detroit on Saturday, but he was noticeably out-matched from the start.

Toronto has scored 709 runs this season, which is 105 more than any other team. The Jays also lead MLB with 21 10-run games.
