Fans and players are thrilled that spring training is behind us and that the regular season is here. But Royals starter Edinson Volquez must not have gotten the memo, as he took the mound Sunday night in Kansas City wearing the team's spring training cap.

When he took the mound in the second inning, his fashion flub had been fixed.

Volquez isn't the first to not match his teammates on the baseball field.

Junior Lake wore the wrong jersey for the Cubs in 2014.

Chris Colabello made a similar mistake with the Twins in 2013.

Kyle McClelan wore the Cardinals "Latin Heritage" night uniform in 2011... when it wasn't Latin Heritage night (via UniWatch).

Chris Capuano wore the wrong Brewers uniform in 2010, and a pair of Mets wore different uniforms in 2004 when the team didn't bring the right ones.

Being a major leaguer is hard enough. Sometimes it's hard to focus on wearing the same uniform as everyone else. Volquez is in good company.
