Dodgers rookie Ross Stripling held the Giants hitless through 7 1/3 innings in his MLB debut Friday but will come away with a no-decision.

Stripling, 26, had not pitched above Double-A before Friday night's game in San Francisco and was removed in the eighth inning after throwing his 100th pitch, which resulted in a one-out walk to Angel Pagan.

Manager Dave Roberts signaled for reliever Chris Hatcher, who came on and promptly gave up the Giants' first hit — a two-run homer to Trevor Brown, his first as a big leaguer, to tie the game 2-2.

Stripling had four strikeouts and four walks on the night.

The Giants eventually won 3-2 in the 10th on Brandon Crawford's walkoff homer.

The only pitcher in MLB history to throw a no-hitter in his debut was Bumpus Jones for Cincinnati in 1892, according to MLB Network.
