The Dodgers have placed outfielder Yasiel Puig on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring strain, according to the LA Times.

It's the second time Puig has injured his right hamstring this season, but he said after Thursday's game that this injury is worse than the first. It's bad news for the Dodgers, who have seen their lead in the NL West shrink to just 2.5 games over the Giants. Jose Peraza will take Puig's roster spot, after getting recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Puig, who has battled a litany of injuries all season, is hitting .256 with 11 home runs and 38 RBIs in 77 games.
