Major League Baseball is back, and with a splash.

The Dodgers and Padres are set to open the 2024 MLB season with a two-game set in Seoul, South Korea, a series that will also mark Shohei Ohtani’s debut in Dodger blue.

The Seoul Series is an integral part of the MLB World Tour, an initiative to bring MLB across the world, closer to its rabid, global fanbase. It will mark the first regular-season MLB games played in Korea, and the fans in Seoul are surely getting a treat: Two star-studded teams, doubling as fierce rivals, set to kick off an exciting season.

Veteran ace Yu Darvish draws the Opening Day start for San Diego, marking his third time starting Game 1 for the Friars. Los Angeles will counter with another one of its prized offseason additions in Tyler Glasnow, the 6-foot-8 right-hander acquired in an offseason trade with Tampa Bay.

The Sporting News has you covered with everything that you need to know about Dodgers vs. Padres, including the start time for the 2024 season-opener.
