The National League Championship Series commences Sunday evening, with the Mets and Dodgers sending their aces to the hill at Chavez Ravine.

Kodai Senga threw just 5.1 innings in the regular season, sidelined with shoulder and calf injuries. But the All-Star right-hander made a surprise return to start Game 1 of the NLDS, tossing two innings of one-run ball.

Senga, who threw 31 pitches in that outing, should have a slightly longer leash on Sunday as he continues to build up to full strength.

After a midseason trade brought him from Detroit to Los Angeles, Jack Flaherty has emerged as a stalwart in an injury-ravaged rotation. He pitched to a 3.58 ERA down the stretch, cementing a bounce-back year.

But Flaherty struggled in Game 2 of the NLDS, allowing four runs across 5.1 innings in an eventual 10-2 Dodgers loss.
