The Dodgers are in a familiar spot as outfielder Yasiel Puig left Thursday's game against the Reds with a hamstring injury.

Puig, who extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a single in the top of the second, threw his helmet in frustration after beating out an infield single against Reds closer Aroldis Chapman in the ninth. He reached for his right hamstring as trainers escorted him off the field.

Puig missed 39 games earlier in the season with a left hamstring injury, but suffered a mild strain in his right hamstring on Aug. 19 against the A's. He has appeared in just 77 games this season from the Dodgers.

Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez also exited Thursday's 1-0 win against the Reds with a contusion after fouling a ball off his left knee. Manager Don Mattingly told reporters Gonzalez was removed for precautionary reasons. Gonzalez said he is 100 percent sure he will play Friday against the Cubs.
