Dodgers' Andre Ethier confident he can return for NLCS Game 3 image

Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Andre Ethier, who didn't start Game 2 of the National League Championship Series because of a sore ankle, thinks he can play in Game 3 on Monday, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Ethier, who played sparingly in the NLDS due to an ankle injury, was in the lineup for Game 1 of the NLCS. He played until being removed as part a double switch in the 13th inning.

After the game, he was sore in the ankle and the rest of his body, leading manager Don Mattingly to leave him out of the starting lineup for Game 2. He pinch-hit in the ninth inning, striking out against St. Louis Cardinals closer Trevor Rosenthal.
