Blue Jays eyeing Dan Duquette for top executive position image

The Blue Jays are taking a serious look at the Orioles' Dan Duquette as a replacment for Paul Beeston, the team's longtime president and chief executive officer, according to ESPN.com's Buster Olney.

Olney doubts Baltimore would allow its executive vice president for baseball operations to leave. But not everyone agrees.

Duquette has been at the helm in Baltimore for the past three seasons. In that time, the Orioles have won 93, 85 and 96 wins and made the playoffs twice. He was the 2014 Sporting News MLB Executive of the Year.

Duquette previously served as general manager of the Expos and Red Sox.
