ESPN's Curt Schilling shares anti-transgender meme on Facebook image

ESPN’s outspoken baseball analyst and former MLB pitcher Curt Schilling is at it again, ripping anything that doesn't align with his conservative political views.

On Monday, Schilling reposted (then deleted) a meme on his Facebook page depicting, apparently, what Schilling believes to be a transgender person along with degrading commentary about transgender bathroom laws.

"A man is a man no matter what they call themselves," Schilling wrote in the post. "I don't care what they are, who they sleep with, men's room was designed for the penis , women's not so much. Now you need laws telling us differently? Pathetic"

The meme, which may be considered disturbing, can be viewed on Outsports.com.

It's far from the first time Schilling has generated controversy while voicing his right-wing opinions.

The 49-year-old was disciplined by ESPN in August after he posted a graphic to his Twitter account comparing Muslim extremists to Nazis. The network banned Schilling from its "Sunday Night Baseball" broadcasts for the rest of the season, but he was reinstated for the postseason.

Schilling again found himself in hot water in March, saying, in part, Hillary Clinton should be "buried under a jail somewhere." But he was allowed to return to the network's baseball coverage this season after reportedly being told by ESPN to stay off social media for a few days.

ESPN has a policy that requires employees to refrain from making endorsements or engaging in political commentary of any kind on social media, one that Schilling frequently ignores.

In February, CNN obtained a document showing Schilling donated $250 to Republican Ben Carson's campaign. In it, when asked to state his employer, Schilling wrote, “ESPN (Not Sure How Much Longer)." Under “Occupation,” he wrote, “Analyst (For Now Anyway).”
