Curt Schilling returning to ESPN despite Hillary Clinton comments, report says image

Curt Schilling will resume Monday Night Baseball analyst duties for ESPN next season, Vocativ.com reported.

The outspoken former pitcher drew heavy criticism for comments made about Hillary Clinton on March 1.

“If she’s allowed to get to the general election before she’s in prison I’ll be stunned and upset. After what happened to General [David] Petraeus, she should be buried under a jail somewhere,” Schilling said during a radio interview.

The vocativ.com report said ESPN confirmed it “addressed” the remarks with Schilling.

ESPN published its policies for covering the 2016 election, in which it states, “We should refrain from political editorializing, personal attacks or “drive-by” comments regarding the candidates and their campaigns."
